I’m 3! I’m 3!

[flickr]photo:2357161560[/flickr]Friday was my birthday. I’m three-years-old now. It was a little confusing though because we started celebrating my birthday on Wednesday night when Angie came over for dinner. She was going out of town and couldn’t come to my party Saturday, so she brought presents then. On Thursday night, my Nana and Poppa came over and we had dinner and I got to open my big present. Mommy and Daddy and Nana and Poppa got me the biggest, coolest train set ever. It’s the one I’ve been telling Mommy I want when we see it at the store.

On my birthday, my Geike and cousin Taylor came to play with me. I love my Geike and Tay-Tay. We played and read stories and they stayed the night, too.

On Saturday, Geike, Taylor, Mommy, Daddy, Nana, Poppa, Uncle Steve, Uncle Mike and my cousins Zack and Brandon and Noah and Halley, and Mike and May-May and Sophie and even Molly all the way from Birmingham, came to my house and we had a big party. I had a firetruck cake and we played with my train set and I got more presents!

And after all the cake and ice cream and stuff all week long, when I woke up on Sunday morning, I got a basket full of candy from the Easter Bunny, too! Daddy said I’m going to have pimples. I don’t know what they are, but these candies are so good, I’m sure they’ll be worth it!

So, Daddy has a new way of doing my picture galleries. I don’t understand how they work, but they’re right here on the story and not on another website. There is a birthday gallery and an Easter gallery. He said he’s putting them all on Flickr now, whatever that means. The Galleries that are online won’t go away anytime soon and when they do, they’ll just move somewhere else. Maybe when he does that I’ll let him write on my blog and explain it all.

Thank you to everyone who sent cards and presents and called and stuff. I had such a Happy Birthday, I can’t imagine how four will be any better.

My Big Boy Baseball Bedroom

Since I’m going to be the big brother now, Mommy and Daddy told me they wanted to give me a big boy bedroom. Daddy worked all weekend, got some help from Poppa and a present from Granddaddy and on Wednesday night, I slept in my big boy bedroom for the first time.

Here’s Daddy’s video showing the before and after.

My bedroom is SOOOOOO cool.

My Big Family Christmas

Santa Claus came to my house!!!!! I got tools and a tool box and a tool belt and a construction worker hat. I’m so excited.

Oh, wait. Daddy and Mommy say I’m supposed to talk about how almost my whole family was here for Christmas. Geike, Uncle Morgan, Aunt Amy, Taylor and Aunt Rachel all came. We all went to Nana and Poppa’s house for lots of food and presents. Uncle Dick and Aunt Judy were in from Connecticut for the week. Uncle Steve came down and Uncle Mike and Aunt Michelle came up with all my cousins — Zack, Brandon, Noah, Halley, Rilee and my new cousin Bella.

I think that covers everyone who was here. I forget. After all, there were so many presents to open.

I was bummed that Santa forgot to bring me safety goggles. Safety goggles are very important when using tools. But then Daddy showed me the movie where I asked Santa for presents and I forgot to ask for safety goggles. I still think Santa should know better than to bring a little boy tools without bringing him safety goggles, but I guess I should have asked.

So Mommy and Daddy took me to the man store … Lowes … and bought me safety goggles yesterday.

Anyway, Daddy put up a HUGE photo gallery with all kinds of pictures. There are some really good ones of me and my cousin Taylor. There are even pictures of me shaving with my new shaving kit that Mommy and Daddy bought me.

Mommy and Daddy say I’m supposed to thank everyone for all my presents. I started to list them, but Daddy said the length of the page would crash the server … whatever that means. So, thank you everybody for the books and the jammies and the cars and trucks and trains and animals and tools and stuff. This was the best Christmas ever … mainly because I knew what was going on this year, but you get the point.

Go see my pictures here and leave comments. I love comments. Tell me what you got for Christmas!

It's Almost Christmas!

Mommy and Daddy and I put up our new Christmas tree last weekend. Daddy actually helped, which Mommy and Geike say is some sort of record. Daddy says he hasn’t decorated anything for Christmas in 16 years. I’m not sure how many that is, but it sounds like a lot.

I got to hang my first ornament, too. We have a very pretty tree. Mommy bought it and it only took her and Daddy five minutes to put it up. Daddy says it’s the folding chair of Christmas trees, whatever that means.

There are a couple of new picture galleries up, too. One of us hanging ornaments on the tree, one of Thanksgiving at my Geike’s house and one of a bunch of Halloween pictures. I was a fireman. Daddy should have put the pictures up a long time ago, but he went on a big trip and forgot.

Check out the pictures in the Grant Galleries. And leave comments! I love comments.

I Love My Daddy

Father’s Day was Sunday and my Daddy and I wore matching shirts. His said “Big Guy” and mine said “Little Guy.” We had Nana and Poppa, Uncle Mike and my cousins — Zack, Brandon, Noah and Halley — over for breakfast. It was nice having all those fathers there. My Poppa, My Daddy and My Uncle Mike.

After breakfast and my nap, Daddy and I went to the park. We were walking by a creek and I noticed an empty bottle floating in the water. That is litter so I told Daddy he should get down there and pick it up. He did, but slipped and his foot went into the mud and water. It was funny, but we cleaned up the litter.

Daddy put up the pictures from our breakfast for everyone to see. I love my Daddy.
